Everything has a spring, and the spring of Quran is the month of Ramadan (Imam Baqir a.s.).

We would like to invite all chidlren and youth to participate in the annual Qur'an conference.

There are three categories and participants may register in more than one category based on their age group and interest.

1. Memorization category

Participants will be expected to recite suwar from memory (Arabic AND English translation).

Ages 3-5:     Surat Al-'Ikhlāş, Surat Al-Kawthar, Surat An-Naşr  [Transalation is not required fot this group.]

Ages 6-7:     Surat Al-`Aşr, Surat Al-Falaq, Surat An-Nās                 

Ages 8-9:    Surat Al-Mā`ūn,  Surat Al-Qadr, Surat At-Tīn

Ages 10-11:  Surat Az-Zalzalah, Surat Ash-Sharĥ, Surat Ađ-Đuĥaá

Ages 12-14:  Surat Al-Qāri`ah, Surat Al-`Ādiyāt , Surat Ash-Shams

Memorize 3 -->gold medal, 2 -->silver medal,  1 sura --> bronze medal.  

2. Recitation category

Participants will be expected to recite suwar (memorization not required) and will be judged on following proper Makhārij and Tajweed rules.   Reciting in Maqamat is recommended.

Ages 3-5 : Surat Al-'Ikhlāş, Surat Al-Kawthar, Surat An-Naşr

Ages 6-7 : Surat Al-`Aşr, Surat Al-Falaq, Surat An-Nās

Ages 8-9 : Surat Al-Mā`ūn,  Surat Al-Qadr, Surat At-Tīn

Ages 10-11: Surat Az-Zalzalah, Surat Ash-Sharĥ, Surat Ađ-Đuĥaá

Ages 12-14: Surat Al-Qāri`ah, Surat Al-`Ādiyāt , Surat Ash-Shams

Gold medal => No tajweed mistakes, Silver medal => 2-3 mistakes,  Bronze medal => 4-5 mistakes

3. Comparative studies category

Participants aged 14+ will be provided documents on comparative study of Surat Al-Qadr and will be tested on the content.

Gold medal => No mistakes on the oral test, Silver medal => 1-3 mistakes, Bronze medal => 4-5 mistakes
