About The Event
We look forward to Sister Neelam Khaki's presentation exploring the concept of family in Islam. She will discuss challenges modern families face and draw inspiration from the Holy Qur'an to derive guidelines for cultivating peaceful families and in the process a harmonious communtiy. She will conclude discussing our role within a family unit.

Sr. Neelam is a graduate in LLB Laws from the London School of Economics. She works as Coordinator of the Peaceful Families Taskforce (PFT) within API Chaya since 2013, and much of her work is currently based around domestic violence prevention. Her work within the PFT involves working with local Muslim communities to create peaceful families, by using the Quranic model of family, through training, education, and community engagement.
