Crescent Moon Dhu al-Qa'dah 1441 AH

There were no verified sightings of the crescent moon by the naked eye at sunset on Sunday, June 21st, 2020 in any region of North America Therefore, Monday, June 22nd, 2020 was the last day of the month of Shawwāl and that Tuesday, June 23rd, 2020, will be the first day of Dhu al-Qa'dah, 1441 A.H.

We ask God, the Most Merciful, to bring a swift end to the current pandemic and grant a quick recovery to all those afflicted. And as always, we ask God, the Most High, for success in performing good deeds and to hasten the Return of Our Master, Imam Mahdi (A).

IMAN Center Phase-2 Safe Start

On June 18th, 2020 Gov. Jay Inslee announced updated health guidance for religious and faith-based services and King County is now in Phase 2 of Washington's Safe Start recovery plan.

In this Phase religious and faith-based organizations can operate at at 25% capacity or 200 people, whichever is less. This means we are permitted to restart most of our daily and weekly activities at the IMAN Center.

However, just as we exercised abundance of caution and were early in suspending our activities in March, we will carefully monitor COVID-19 Pandemic status before we resume congregational services at IMAN.

Inshallah if things progress well, we hope to restart our daily and weekly activities on or before Dhu al-Hijjah.

When IMAN Center resumes as part of Phase 2 Safe Start recovery, we will be returning to a new normal per guidelines provided by King County health authorities and other medical experts. Details of this new normal are in the process of being finalized.

It is clear we will need several volunteers to help plan and orchestrate a safe re-start and a new normal. Please e-mail facilities@iman-wa.org if you are willing to volunteer and help with safe re-start.

Sunday School

IMAN Sunday School Year 2019 - 2020 has now completed.

Celebrations for the End of Year school have not yet been scheduled due to protective measures necessary for health and safety of all during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Event to acknowledge students and appreciate all teachers and TA’s will be scheduled as the Pandemic situation improves.
